Treatments

Echuca Skin and Laser clinic can help you calm red and angry blood vessels that are common on the face.

What is Pigmentation?

Pigmentation refers to the uneven distribution of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin coloration, resulting in dark spots, patches, or discoloration on the skin’s surface. These pigmentation concerns can arise due to various factors, including sun exposure, hormonal changes, aging, genetics, and skin trauma. Whether it’s melasma, sun spots, or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, these pigmentation issues can impact one’s confidence and overall complexion.

At our clinic, we offer advanced pigmentation treatments tailored to address specific concerns and achieve clearer, more even-toned skin. Our skilled professionals utilise cutting-edge technologies such as laser therapy, chemical peels, and topical treatments to effectively target pigmentation, breaking down excess melanin and promoting skin renewal. With personalised treatment plans designed to suit individual skin types and concerns, we help our clients achieve brighter, more radiant skin, restoring confidence and a youthful complexion. Say goodbye to unwanted pigmentation and hello to a luminous, even-toned complexion with our comprehensive pigmentation correction services.

Pigmentation Frequently Asked Questions

Your skin gets its colour from a pigment called melanin. If your body makes too much melanin, your skin gets darker. Patches can vary in size and can develop anywhere on the body.
The cells in our body that produce melanin are called melanocytes, which is the pigment responsible for the colour of your hair, eyes and skin. Melanin also helps in heat regulation of our body and protects the skin from UV radiation.
This is determined by genetics, the environment and your endocrine system.
Hyperpigmentation is common in all races and with males and females, but it is harmless. It is when the skin becomes patchy with some areas being deeper in colour than others. These patches of darker skin are usually irregular making your skin tone look uneven. Its main cause is the sun and exposure to UV and whilst damage is not visible immediately, it becomes noticeable as you age.
Yes! See above to learn more about the treatments we offer to assist in the reduction of skin pigmentation. We recommend a skin consultation with one of our skin therapists, to determine which treatment would be the most suitable for you and your unique skin. Please book below.
